Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - April 19, 1993 Page - 23 - <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS (continued) <br /> Council Member Perry said another concern brought up during the Public <br /> Hearing was the potential of looking into backyards. She asked if this <br /> was taken care of. Mr. Federighi said the impact is as minimal as can <br /> be and said this height is permitted in the R-1 District. <br /> Mayor Karp complimented Mr. Federighi on the plans for the project. <br /> There being no further comments from the public, on motion of Council <br /> Member Faria, seconded by Council Member Polvorosa, and carried <br /> unanimously, the Public Hearing was closed. <br /> Council Member Perry moved to approve PD-93-01, as recommended by the <br /> Planning Commission, deleting on page 293, under Item X, General <br /> Conditions, Items G and H, leaving only fire access from Donna Street. <br /> The following Motion was then introduced: <br /> Minute Order No. 93-23. Matter of PD-93-01; Planned Unit Development, <br /> General Development Plan; to Construct a 28-Unit Condominium with <br /> Frontage on Both East 14th Street and Donna Drive; 14835 East 14th <br /> Street; Known as the Former Ashland Lumber Site; Assessor's Parcel <br /> Number 77D-1475-10-1 and a Portion of 27-2; Bautista/Federighi ; C-2 <br /> (Light Commercial ) District and R-2 (Two-Family) District. (1009) <br /> On motion by Council Member Perry, seconded by Council Member Kerr, and <br /> carried by the following called vote, the City Council approved PD-93- <br /> 01, modifying Condition X.G. , to allow for emergency access only to <br /> Donna Street, and deleting Condition X.H. <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Kerr, Myers, Perry, Polvorosa; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br /> B. Matter of Confirmation of Cost Assessments for the Sidewalk <br /> Construction for the Durant Avenue and Foothill Boulevard Neighborhood <br /> Improvement District, Project No. 92-8330. <br /> This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above <br /> matter, Bill Silva, City Engineer, said the matter before the City <br /> Council was the concluding action with regard to the construction of <br /> sidewalks, curbs, and gutters along Foothill Boulevard/Grant Avenue. <br /> He said the project started almost two years ago with a request by the <br /> Bancroft/MacArthur Business Association to complete the installation of <br /> curb and gutter along Foothill Boulevard. He said the project was <br /> extended down Durant Avenue and went from Foothill to East 14th Street. <br /> He described the history and time line of the neighborhood improvement <br /> district process and said the work was now complete. <br />
