Minutes - Joint San Leandro City Council/ Page - 10 - <br /> San Leandro Redevelopment Agency/ <br /> Alameda County Board of Supervisors Meeting - June 28, 1993 <br /> JOINT PUBLIC HEARING (continued) <br /> June Catalano said five comments were received and staff would respond in <br /> writing regarding. <br /> Supervisor Steele asked if the Board would adopt the EIR on July 8th. <br /> City Attorney Meyers said the Board of Supervisors acts at its Board <br /> meeting. He said County staff will have a resolution which will accept the <br /> EIR and Plan. <br /> Supervisor Steele asked where the letters that people wrote were and where <br /> the answers could be found. <br /> Brian McElroy said they were in Section 3 of the binder, page 128. The <br /> actual comment letters were in front of that section beginning on page 127. <br /> Council Member Kerr asked if John Sullivan's letter was part of the packet. <br /> June Catalano said staff had the letter and it would be entered into the <br /> record. <br /> Mayor Faria said statements or testimony would be received from those <br /> present in favor of the Redevelopment Plan or Final Environmental Impact <br /> Report. He asked speakers to identify themselves and provide their <br /> address. He asked for comments from the taxing agencies first. <br /> A. Bob Nehls, Assistant Superintendent for the San Leandro Unified School <br /> District, said he had a letter on behalf of the San Leandro Unified <br /> School District which stated that the District, one of the local <br /> agencies, supports the concept of redevelopment in San Leandro to order <br /> to improve the community. The District accepts the redevelopment <br /> conceptually. The District has adopted a 2% pass through resolution as <br /> required by law and it is the intention to reach an agreement on this <br /> important matter. <br /> B. Pat Piras, Member of Board of Directors, Alameda/Contra Costa Transit, <br /> said she represented San Leandro and the unincorporated area. She <br /> asked if the Board of Supervisors' hearing would be on July 8th and not <br /> July 1st as mentioned in the notice. <br /> Adolph Martinelli said the original notice had the wrong date, and it <br /> has been rescheduled to July 8th. <br /> Ms. Piras said Alameda/Contra Costa Transit has submitted a letter into <br /> the record. The letter addresses the redevelopment plan and the EIR. <br /> She said they have also submitted comments on the EIR. She said staffs <br /> have been working very hard on coming to a tax sharing agreement <br />
