Matter of CU-93-10/V-93-5; Appeal by Jerome B. <br /> Porter of the Board of Zoning Adjustments' Approval of CU-93-10/V-93-5; <br /> Conditional Use; to Remodel and Expand the Rear Single-Family Home on <br /> a Parcel in the 0 (Outer Residential ) District with Less-Than-the- <br /> Minimum 60 Feet of Width (57.61 Feet) ; Variance; to Provide 10 Feet <br /> Rather Than the Minimum Separation of 20 Feet Between the Two Single- <br /> Family Homes on the Site and to Provide a Side Yard of 5 Feet on the <br /> North Side of the Home and 3 Feet on the South Side of Rear Home in <br /> Lieu of a 10-Foot Side Yard for an Additional Dwelling; 13025 Neptune <br /> Drive; Assessor's Parcel Number 79A-560-7; William and Rose Marie <br /> Carash; 0 (Outer Residential ) District. Exempt per CEQA Guidelines, <br /> Article 19, Section 15303 (a) . (1098) <br /> On motion by Council Member Myers, who moved its approval , seconded by <br /> Council Member Kerr, and carried by the following called vote, the City <br /> Council denied the appeal of CU-93-10/V-93-5. <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Kerr, Myers, Nahm, Perry, Polvorosa; <br /> Mayor Faria ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br /> Council Member Kerr said he was impressed with Mulford Garden <br /> Improvement Association's comments. He said he is also against issuing <br /> so many Variances, but this would be a great improvement to the area. <br /> He said he does not like to bend the law. <br /> Wandzia Grycz-Hernandez, Acting Assistant City Manager, requested that, <br /> if at any time the City Council is displeased with the level of staff <br /> work, they should bring this matter to her or to the City Manager's <br /> attention, and it will be resolved. <br /> 9. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> A. Council Member Myers said the Marina Faire Homeowners Association <br /> Picnic would be held this weekend at 1 :00 p.m. <br /> B. Council Member Myers said he received a call from some School Board <br /> Members regarding his comments on June 14. He said the School Board is <br /> willing to work with the Council , and he suggested having staff mail <br /> them a copy of all of the City's activities, and they will send their <br /> materials to the City. He said everyone has to work together. <br /> C. Council Member Corbett said she visited Mr. Hilton and he was doing <br /> very well . She said he thanked everyone for their cards and prayers <br /> and said he is already planning some community things he wants to get <br /> involved in. <br />
