Matter of Appeal by Michael A. Clevenger of <br /> the Planning Commission's Denial of A-93-3 and PD-93-4; A-93-3; <br /> Reclassification; to Re-Zone from R-1 (Single Family) District to R-1 - <br /> PDC (Single Family - Planned Development Combining) District; and PD- <br /> 93-4, GDP; Planned Unit Development, General Development Plan; to <br /> Construct 22-Unit Townhouse Condominiums; 14969 Washington Avenue; <br /> Assessor's Parcel Numbers 77B-1120-1-1 and 5; Michael A. Clevenger; R-1 <br /> (Single Family) District. (1099/1009) <br /> On motion by Council Member Corbett, who moved its approval , seconded <br /> by Council Member Nahm, and carried by the following called vote, the <br /> City Council continued the matter of Appeal by Michael A. Clevenger of <br /> the Planning Commission's Denial of A-93-3 and PD-93-4 to the February <br /> 7, 1994, City Council Meeting. <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Myers, Nahm, Perry, Polvorosa; <br /> Mayor Faria ( 6 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: Council Member Kerr ( 1 ) <br /> B. Matter of Zoning Code Map. <br /> This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above <br /> matter, the City Clerk noted letters had been received from: <br /> -- Douglas T. Federighi , Williams Street Investments, 1051 MacArthur <br /> Boulevard (dated December 2, 1993) ; <br /> -- Sandra Nielsen, 2100 Lewelling Boulevard (dated December 2, 1993) ; <br /> - Lubos Dodecky, 271 Begier Avenue (dated December 6, 1993) ; <br /> Mayor Faria noted Mr. Federighi and Ms. Neilsen had called him, and he <br /> had referred them to Mr. Emslie. <br /> Steve Emslie, Planning Manager, said this is the culmination of a <br /> multi-year process which completely revised the Zoning Code and Map <br /> covering the entire City. He thanked everyone involved in the project <br /> for their hard work. <br /> He said, in April 1992, the City Council approved the Zoning Code text. <br /> Since then, staff has been working on remapping the City. He discussed <br /> the criteria applied in the remapping, including protection of single- <br /> family neighborhoods, a realistic look at multi-family district <br /> density, the North Area Specific Plan, commercial zoning, and issues of <br /> economic development. <br />
