Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - December 20, 1993 Page - 12 - <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS (continued) <br /> Lou Filipovich asked why this was an urgency ordinance, if any <br /> businesses were exempt from licenses, if the City studied the loss from <br /> these exemptions, and how much revenue the increase would produce. <br /> There being no further comments from the public, on motion of Council <br /> Member Myers, seconded by Council Member Kerr, and carried unanimously, <br /> the Public Hearing was closed. <br /> The following Resolution and Ordinance were then introduced: <br /> Resolution No. 93-263, Resolution Approving Findings of Exemption from <br /> California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Regarding City Council <br /> Adoption of Amendments to the Business License Ordinance (finds that <br /> amendments to the Business License Ordinance are exempt from <br /> requirements of CEQA) . (1203) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Myers, who moved its adoption, seconded by <br /> Council Member Corbett, and carried by the following called vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Kerr, Myers, Nahm, Perry, Polvorosa; <br /> Mayor Faria ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br /> Ordinance No. 93-027, An Urgency Ordinance Repealing and Reenacting <br /> Chapter 2 of Title II of the San Leandro Municipal Code Relating to <br /> Business License Fees for the Usual and Current Expenses of the City <br /> and Making This Matter an Urgency Measure, to Take Effect Immediately <br /> (provides for annual adjustment of fees based on changes in the <br /> Consumer Price Index [CPI]) .
