Ordinance No. 94-03, An Ordinance of the City of San Leandro Amending Section 6-5-215 of the San Leandro Municipal Code to Allow Exemption from the Provisions of Municipal Code Section 6-5-215 for On-Duty Police Officers (allows a San Leandro Police Officer to operate a bicycle on any street, sidewalk, path or other public property while engaged in the performance of his/her duties) . (1413) Introduced by Council Member Nahm, who moved that it be passed to print, seconded by Council Member Myers, and carried by the following called vote: AYES: Council Members Corbett, Kerr, Myers, Nahm, Perry, Polvorosa; Mayor Faria ( 7 ) NOES: None ( 0 ) ABSENT: None ( 0 ) B. Resolution No. 94-52, Resolution in Support of AB 90X, Established by Assemblyman Tom Bates, Which Defines the East Bay Public Safety Corridor Project and Authorizes the Expenditure of $3,000 for Regional Safety Efforts by the Same. Council Member Myers said he met some people from Merced who said they had stayed at the Marina Inn and felt it was the best inn they had seen; they said it has a homey atmosphere and good service. B. Council Member Corbett said she attended the Community Education Foundation Dinner. She said the dinner, which raises a lot of money, offers grants to four special programs in the School District and a number of members of the business community served as celebrity waiters.
