Council Member Myers said he met some people from Merced who said they <br /> had stayed at the Marina Inn and felt it was the best inn they had <br /> seen; they said it has a homey atmosphere and good service. <br /> B. Council Member Corbett said she attended the Community Education <br /> Foundation Dinner. She said the dinner, which raises a lot of money, <br /> offers grants to four special programs in the School District and a <br /> number of members of the business community served as celebrity <br /> waiters. <br />
