When Prop. 13 passed, the allocations were frozen, and the City has today a property tax rate that allocates 16 cents per dollar to San Leandro. Berkeley receives 40 cents. Comparing San Leandro to Alameda, San Leandro's total assessed valuation is $4. 1 billion; Alameda's is $3.8 billion; but Alameda receives $5 million per year more in property taxes than San Leandro, even though the residents pay the same amount, because Alameda's rate was 33 cents per dollar and San Leandro's was 16 cents. Matter of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Final Submission Statement, Program Year 1994-95. This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above matter, Jacqui Diaz, Acting Housing Coordinator, said this is the second opportunity for the public to comment on the Community Development Block Grant Submission Statement, Program Year 1994-95. The Hearing was opened to the public. There being no comments from the public, on motion of Council Member Polvorosa, seconded by Council Member Myers and carried unanimously, the Public Hearing was closed. The following Resolution was then introduced. Resolution No. 94-81, Resolution Approving Final Submission Statement for Community Development Block Grant Funds, Fiscal Year 1994-95 and Authorizing Execution and Submission Thereof by the City Manager.
