(1051) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Myers, who moved its adoption, seconded by <br /> Council Member Polvorosa, and carried by the following called vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Galvan, Kerr, Loeffler, Myers, Perry, <br /> Polvorosa; Mayor Corbett ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br /> Mr. Oliver thanked staff for all their hard work, particularly Wandzia <br /> Grycz-Hernandez, Artie Fields, John Jermanis, Jim O'Leary, Carol <br /> Atwood, and Bill Silva. He also thanked the 45 other employees who <br /> contributed significantly to the budget process. He noted the process <br /> is not over yet because the State and other factors will undoubtedly <br /> affect the budget during the upcoming fiscal year. He said the City <br /> Council has wisely adopted a stance of setting aside adequate funds to <br /> deal with these future crises. <br /> Mayor Corbett also thanked staff, as well as members of the Finance <br /> Committee, including Council Member Myers, former Council Member Nahm, <br /> former Mayor Faria, and Council Member Kerr. <br /> B. Matter of A-94-5; Rezone; from IL (Limited Industrial ) District to RS <br /> (PD) (Residential Single Family, Planned Development) District; PD-94- <br /> 3; Planned Development; for detached, single-family homes, Tentative <br /> Map 6692, Tract 6692; for 40-unit, single-family subdivision; 319, 375 <br /> and 377 Preda Street, Assessor's Parcel No. 75-131-3-1 and 75-131-4-2; <br /> Preda Street Developers, L.P. (Jeffrey W. Abramson) and Joseph and <br /> Anthony Rose (Property Owners) ; IL Limited Industrial District. <br /> This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above <br /> matter, Elmer Penaranda, Assistant Planner, gave the staff report. He <br /> said the subject area is on Preda Street north of Davis, and he <br /> described the current uses of the site. He said the proposal is to re- <br /> zone the property to residential , single-family homes to allow for a <br /> planned development of 40 homes. He described the density, adjacent <br /> uses, exterior elevations, floor plans, landscaping treatment, and a <br /> conceptual plan for replacing the remaining industrial development in <br /> the area with single-family residential . He said the Planning <br /> Commission recommended approval of the project. <br />
