The City Council will re-convene its Regular Meeting <br /> immediately following the San Leandro Redevelopment Agency <br /> Meeting. <br /> SAN LEANDRO REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> The City Council convened at 9:15 p.m. as the San Leandro <br /> Redevelopment Agency immediately following the City Council <br /> Consent Calendar. <br /> RECONVENE <br /> The City Council re-convened at 9:23 p.m. to its Regular Meeting, <br /> following adjournment of the San Leandro Redevelopment Agency <br /> Meeting at 9:23 p.m. . <br /> 7. NEW BUSINESS <br /> Item Removed from the Consent Calendar. <br /> 6.C. Resolution Approving Contractual Services Agreement with The Sear-Brown <br /> Group Relating to Water Pollution Control Plant Seismic Retrofit, Project <br /> No. 593-8541 (provides for design services for seismic retrofit of various <br /> facilities at the Water Pollution Control Plant and sewage and stormwater <br /> pumping stations) . <br /> Council Member Kerr asked for an explanation of this matter. Bill Silva, <br /> City Engineer, said the resolution approves a contract for design of a <br /> seismic retrofit project at the Water Pollution Control Plant. He said it <br /> does not include upgrading or reconstruction. He said there are a number <br /> of phases to the retrofit at the Plant and this first phase is a detailed <br /> analysis of the seismic retrofit needs. He said Phases II, III, and IV <br /> will include construction. <br /> Council Member Kerr noted two weeks ago the City Council approved $300,000 <br /> for the Water Pollution Control Plant and questioned the need to keep <br /> putting money into the Plant. <br /> The City Manager said the issue of the long-term future of the Water <br /> Pollution Control Plant and the City's sanitary sewer collection system <br /> would be discussed at an upcoming series of Work Sessions. <br />
