Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - October 17, 1994 Page - 9 - <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS (continued) <br /> Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, said the word "inadvertently" <br /> should be removed or else documents should be prepared on each property <br /> saying why they were omitted. He said the courts must apply <br /> Constitutional rights to property. <br /> There being no further comments from the public, on motion of Council <br /> Member Myers, seconded by Council Member Galvan, and carried by a <br /> majority vote (7) , the Public Hearing was closed. <br /> The following Motion was then introduced: <br /> Minute Order No. 94-47, Matter of Amendment to the Zoning Map (A-94- <br /> 09) , Minor Revisions, to Correct Inconsistencies Re. Seven Properties <br /> (minor Zoning Map changes for properties left undesignated and <br /> inadvertently left blank, which were discovered by staff in daily use <br /> of the Maps) . (1099) <br /> On motion by Council Member Polvorosa, who moved its approval , seconded <br /> by Council Member Perry, and carried by a majority vote (7) , the City <br /> Council approved the Amendment to the Zoning Map (A-94-09) , Minor <br /> Revisions, to Correct Inconsistencies Re. Seven Properties. <br /> 9. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> A. Council Member Loeffler said he attended the October 14 dedication of <br /> the San Leandro Women's Shelter as a 24-hour operation. He said this <br /> is a quality effort to help women and children in transition in our <br /> community. <br /> B. Council Member Loeffler said he was a judge at the San Leandro High <br /> School "Spirit Rally. " He said the students showed great talent and <br /> creativity, and there was a powerful competition between the juniors <br /> and seniors. <br /> C. Council Member Kerr also commended the Women's Shelter for their 24- <br /> hour operation. He said the City can be very proud of this successful <br /> program. <br /> D. Council Member Perry said she especially enjoyed the "Spirit Rally" <br /> since it is the 25th anniversary of her service as Spirit Week Chair. <br /> She said a tremendous amount of time and effort is put into the <br /> production numbers. <br /> E. Council Member Galvan also commended the High School for Spirit Week. <br /> He said it would be nice to have this type of activity on the <br /> Government Channel on Cable TV to show the positive things that happen <br /> at the High School . <br />
