Amendment to Community Development Block Grant Submission Statement, <br /> Program Year 1991-92. <br /> This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above <br /> matter, John Klein, Housing Coordinator, Community Development <br /> Department, said the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program <br /> allows for periodic changes during the year when additional funding is <br /> needed for a program. He said in October the City Council agreed to <br /> provide $80,000 for Girls' , Inc. He said additional funds have become <br /> available to provide a total of $200,000 for the Girls' , Inc. , that <br /> will go toward the improvement of the building on East 14th Street. He <br /> noted that the Girls' , Inc. , serves a number of San Leandro residents, <br /> including programs at San Leandro High School . <br /> The Hearing was then opened to the public. <br /> There being no comments from the public, on motion of Council Member <br /> Santos, seconded by Council Member Glaze, and carried unanimously, the <br /> Public Hearing was closed. <br /> The following Resolution was then introduced: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 92-27 (2096) <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING REVISED FINAL SUBMISSION STATEMENT AND <br /> LIST OF ADDITIONAL PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES <br /> FOR FUNDS UNDER PROVISIONS OF THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT <br /> AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION AND SUBMISSION THEREOF <br /> BY THE CITY MANAGER <br /> Introduced by Council Member Corbett, who moved its adoption, seconded by Council <br /> Member Glaze, and carried by the following called vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br /> 9. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> A. Council Member Glaze asked if there was a Council Meeting planned for <br /> February 24. He said the Youth Safety Committee wanted to meet on that <br /> evening. The City Clerk responded that a meeting was not scheduled for <br /> February 24. <br /> B. Council Member Perry noted she would be attending the second meeting of <br /> the old ACTEB and the new PIC members on February 22 to work out the <br /> role of local officials, if any, in the new training program to be <br /> administered through Alameda County. <br />
