Matter of Discussion of Blue Ribbon Finance Committee. <br /> Mayor Karp said he was recommending the formation of a City Blue Ribbon <br /> Finance Committee with 13 members, consisting of representatives from <br /> the Chamber of Commerce, Associated Homeowners of San Leandro, <br /> Manufacturers' Association, Southern Alameda County Realtors, rental <br /> housing owners, mobile park owners, and 7 people selected from the <br /> community. He proposed that the committee meet on a regular basis with <br /> the City Manager and the Finance Director to discuss budget and to <br /> recommend to the City Council Finance Committee ideas and <br /> recommendations and rightsizing the City's future. <br /> Council Member Glaze made a motion to table this matter until the City <br /> Council has time to digest the proposed representation and the process <br /> and how this committee would interact with the City Council Finance <br /> Committee. <br /> The following motion was introduced: <br /> MINUTE ORDER NO. 92-16 <br /> MATTER OF DISCUSSION OF <br /> BLUE RIBBON FINANCE COMMITTEE <br /> On motion by Council Member Glaze, who moved its approval , seconded by Council <br /> Member Santos, and carried by the following called vote, the City Council tabled <br /> this matter. <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos; ( 6 ) <br /> NOES: Mayor Karp ( 1 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br /> Council Member Perry said she would pass information on to the City <br /> Manager from Pete Marwick Company which could be used as a model . <br /> L. Matter of Financial Plan for San Leandro's Future. <br /> Mike Oliver, Acting City Manager, asked the City Council for a motion <br /> on the Financial Plan discussion as presented at the February 25, 1992, <br /> Work Session. <br />
