Matter of Discussion Regarding Funding for the Capital Improvement <br /> Program and the Marina Shoreline Projects. <br /> The following Motion was introduced: <br /> MINUTE ORDER NO. 92-34 <br /> MATTER OF MARINA COMMUNITY CENTER <br /> On motion by Council Member Glaze, who moved its approval , seconded by Council <br /> Member Polvorosa, and carried by the following called vote, the City Council <br /> directed staff to proceed with the conceptual design, as presented at the March <br /> 2, 1992, City Council Work Session; to construct the complete project in one <br /> phase; and authorized staff to proceed with Phase 2, design-development of the <br /> TSH Architects' scope of services. <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br /> 8. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> A. Matter of A-88-18; Proposed Re-Zoning of Davis Street Excess City <br /> Property Sites, South Side of Davis Street, Between Orchard and Wayne <br /> Avenues. <br /> This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above <br /> matter, Norm Weisbrod, Associate Planner, said the subject property is <br /> located on the south side of Davis Street, between Orchard and Pacific <br /> Avenues and Pacific and Wayne Avenues. He said this is a remnant from <br /> the Davis Street widening project, and the property is owned by the <br /> City and is part of the Plaza 2 Redevelopment Area. <br /> He said in January a Hearing was held to re-zone the site to P <br /> District. He said the City Council tabled the matter to consider <br /> proposals for use of the property. He said the Redevelopment Agency <br /> has recently signed an Exclusive Right to Negotiate with Estudillo <br /> Hospital to construct a new building on the site. He said this would <br /> require re-zoning the property to P District. He said this is in <br /> conformance with the General Plan and with the Plaza 2 Redevelopment <br /> Plan and in conformance with the recommendations of the Planning <br /> Commission. He recommended City Council approval of the re-zoning. <br /> The Hearing was then opened to the public. <br />
