Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - May 18, 1992 Page - 15 - <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS (continued) <br /> Mayor Karp congratulated Bob Taylor for his fine work in this area. <br /> Mr. Taylor thanked all of the members of the Citizens Advisory <br /> Committee who put in many hours of work in on this project. He also <br /> expressed thanks to City staff Judy Leiberman, Mark Adcock, and Tomi <br /> Kinsey. <br /> The Hearing was then opened to the public. <br /> Joanne Mattoon, 3810 Monterey Boulevard, noted she had gone to the <br /> dumps and the man at the dumps asked her what city she was from but did <br /> not ask for any identification and she was concerned that once people <br /> found out about this they would say they were from San Leandro. <br /> Mayor Karp said waste management company is going to revamp the area <br /> and will be requesting ID and plans on having the first glass recycling <br /> center there. <br /> Steve Emslie, Planning Manager, said a Conditional Use Permit has <br /> already been issued for this. <br /> The following Motion was then introduced: <br /> MINUTE ORDER NO. 92-40 (2047) <br /> MATTER OF ADOPTION OF A NEGATIVE DECLARATION AND <br /> ADOPTION OF THE FINAL DRAFT OF THE <br /> CITY OF SAN LEANDRO SOURCE REDUCTION & RECYCLING ELEMENT AND <br /> HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE ELEMENT <br /> On motion by Council Member Perry, who moved its approval , seconded by Council <br /> Member Corbett, and carried by the following called vote, the City Council <br /> continued the matter of adoption of a Negative Declaration and adoption of the <br /> Final Draft of the City of San Leandro Source Reduction and Recycling Element and <br /> Household Hazardous Waste Element was continued to the June 1, 1992, City Council <br /> Meeting. <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Kerr, Myers, Perry, Polvorosa; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br />
