Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - June 1, 1992 Page - 15 - <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS (continued) <br /> Council Member Perry asked, with regard to household hazardous waste, <br /> if the City was getting credit for battery and oil collection. Ms. <br /> Leiberman said those who are collecting batteries are waiting for a <br /> recycling facility to open. She said we are currently receiving credit <br /> for oil ; and she said, as long as she can get data on materials being <br /> recycled, the City receives credit for it. <br /> Council Member Kerr said he took some oil to the Transfer Station but <br /> no one asked him what city he was from. Mr. Taylor said this is being <br /> worked on at the County level , and data is being collected as it is <br /> available and will be available in the future. He said it will be <br /> important to have that date in calendar year 1994, and a process is <br /> being established. <br /> The Hearing was then opened to the public. <br /> There being no comments from the public, on motion of Council Member <br /> Polvorosa, seconded by Council Member Myers, and carried unanimously, <br /> the Public Hearing was closed. <br /> The following Resolutions were then introduced: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 92-132 (2047) <br /> RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE <br /> FINAL DRAFT OF THE <br /> CITY OF SAN LEANDRO SOURCE REDUCTION AND RECYCLING ELEMENT AND <br /> HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE ELEMENT <br /> Introduced by Council Member Kerr, who moved its adoption, seconded by Council <br /> Member Faria, and carried by the following called vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Kerr, Myers, Perry, Polvorosa; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br />
