Council Member Perry said she provided information to the City Council <br /> regarding the State Budget Summit held by Assemblyman Klehs on Saturday <br /> at Cal State, Hayward. She said Assemblyman Klehs indicated there are <br /> other bills in the Legislature that may take away additional funding at <br /> the local level . <br /> She said Alameda County Supervisor Mary King provided information on <br /> value-based budgeting. She said there is now an $11 billion State <br /> deficit for this year and within the next week the State will be <br /> running out of money and will be giving out registered warrants for the <br /> first time since the Depression.
