Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - July 6, 1992 Page - 28 - <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS (continued) <br /> There being no further comments from the public, on motion of Council <br /> Member Myers, seconded by Council Member Faria, and carried unanimously, <br /> the Public Hearing was closed. <br /> The following Resolutions were then introduced: <br /> - Resolution No. 92-208, Resolution Overruling Protests, Sidewalk and <br /> Curb Construction, Durant Avenue and Foothill Boulevard Neighborhood <br /> Improvement District, Project No. 92-8330, Improvement Act of <br /> 1911 . (2715) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Corbett, who moved its adoption, <br /> seconded by Council Member Faria, and carried by the following called <br /> vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Kerr, Myers, Perry, <br /> Polvorosa; Mayor Karp ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br /> - Resolution No. 92-209, Resolution Approving Plans and Specifications <br /> and Ordering Improvements Durant Avenue and Foothill Boulevard <br /> Neighborhood Improvement District, Project No. 92-8330, Improvement <br /> Act of 1911 . CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> A. Council Member Myers noted that a couple of Saturdays ago he and Council <br /> Member Perry went on a tour of City parks with five members of the <br /> Recreation and Parks Commission, Dennis Smith and Dan Nagle. He said it <br /> was very informative and the parks are something to be proud of. He <br /> said he took his hat off to staff and the Commission. <br /> B. Council Member Corbett noted she had received a letter saying that the <br /> homeowners in the North Area would like to form a North Area Business <br /> Development task force. She said she would pass the information on to <br /> the City Manager for followup. <br /> C. Council Member Kerr noted recent graffiti activity in his neighborhood, <br /> with the "newowner" or "newover" symbol and asked Kathy Ornelas to look <br /> into it. <br />
