Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - August 3, 1992 Page - 5 - <br /> NEW BUSINESS (continued) <br /> Dennis Smith, Director Recreation-Human Resources Director, said the <br /> primary use of the Park now would be for open space. <br /> Staff was directed to modify the Agreement and send it to the Mulford <br /> Gardens Improvement Association for approval . <br /> Larry Norry, President of the Mulford Gardens Improvement Association, <br /> asked what this meant to the term of the Lease. <br /> Steve Meyers, City Attorney, said the term would still be 20 years, but <br /> either party to the Agreement can terminate the Lease after 1 year with <br /> 6 months' notice. <br /> The following Resolution was then introduced and approved as amended: <br /> Resolution No. 92-223, Resolution Approving Lease Agreement Between the <br /> City of San Leandro and the Mulford Gardens Improvement Association for <br /> Mulford Park (provides for the renewal of the City's 20-year lease of <br /> the Mulford Park property) . (1974) <br /> Introduced by Council Member Myers, who moved its adoption, seconded by <br /> Council Member Faria, and carried by the following called vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Myers, Perry, Polvorosa; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 6 ) <br /> NOES: Council Member Kerr ( 1 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br /> 6D. Resolution Approving Subgrantee Agreement with Eden Council for Hope <br /> and Opportunity (ECHO) Fair Housing and Tenant Landlord Counseling <br /> (provides documentation of services to be performed by ECHO on behalf <br /> of the City) . <br /> Mr. Lastiri , who had requested this matter be removed from the Consent <br /> Calendar, asked if ECHO conducts rental mediation for mobilehome <br /> associations. <br /> John Klein, Housing Coordinator, said ECHO works with property owners <br /> and tenants to come up with voluntary solutions to problems. <br /> Marjorie Rocha, Program Director for ECHO, said ECHO has experience <br /> with mediation in general , but they do not specifically work on <br /> mobilehome parks. She reiterated that they mediate problems between <br /> tenants and landlords, not mobilehome parks in general . <br />
