Minutes - San Leandro City Council Meeting - November 2, 1992 Page - 5 -
NEW BUSINESS (continued)
The following Resolution was then introduced:
Resolution No. 92-297, Resolution of Award of Contract to Fox Construction
for Water Pollution Control Plant Modifications, Project 593-8519
(recommends award to the low bidder for bid amount of $84,615) . (2717)
Introduced by Council Member Polvorosa, who moved its adoption, seconded by
Council Member Perry, and carried by the following called vote:
AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Kerr, Myers, Perry, Polvorosa;
Mayor Karp ( 7 )
NOES: None ( 0 )
ABSENT: None ( 0 )
6F. Resolution Authorizing City Manager to Submit Application to the San
Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission for Permits and
Entitlements Related to City Projects in the Bay and Shoreline Band.
Council Member Corbett said she was concerned that the Resolution gives the
City Manager authorization to submit applications to BCDC and said she
wanted to be sure projects would still come before the City Council .
Steve Meyers, City Attorney, said BCDC requires that there be a Resolution
of the governing body authorizing submittal of Applications. He said
awards of contract, approval of plans and specifications, etc. , would still
come before the City Council for approval ; the Resolution just authorizes
the City Manager to file Applications. He said the approval had been done
on a case-by-case basis, which proved to be cumbersome.
The following Resolution was then introduced:
Resolution No. 92-298, Resolution Authorizing City Manager to Submit
Application to the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development
Commission for Permits and Entitlements Related to City Projects in the Bay
and Shoreline Band.
