CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS
A. Council Member Perry said she had attended the League of California
Cities, Committee on Transportation and Public Works meeting. She said
all City Council Members should review the customer service standards
in their Cable TV Franchise Agreements because new cable legislation may
come into effect which may grandfather customer-service standards into
the regulations.
B. Council Member Perry said she has a copy of the Alameda County Congestion
Management Plan as well as copies of Management Plans from other agencies
if the City Council is interested in reviewing them. She said work is
being done to review CEQA requirements so two EIR's are not necessary
on congestion plans.
C. Council Member Perry noted that the Alameda County Mental Health Advisory
Board will be opening a new emergency-care facility on the Fairmont
Hospital grounds. She said she will be updating the City Council on the
Advisory Board's policies and their impact on San Leandro.
