MINUTE ORDER NO. 91-80 (1028) <br /> MATTER OF PROPOSED ADJUSTMENTS TO THE <br /> SAN LEANDRO MARINA BERTHING RATES <br /> EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 1991 <br /> On motion by Council Member Santos who moved its approval , seconded by Council <br /> Member Polvorosa and carried by the following called vote, the City Council <br /> approved the proposed adjustments to the San Leandro Marina berthing rates, <br /> effective October 1 , 1991 . <br /> AYES: Council Members Corbett, Faria, Glaze, Perry, Polvorosa, Santos; <br /> Mayor Karp ( 7 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: None ( 0 ) <br /> G. Letter from Recreation and Parks Commission Recommending Completion of <br /> the Renovation of the Marina Community Center as Soon as Possible. <br /> Dick Randall , City Manager, said the City concurs with the <br /> recommendation of the Recreation and Parks Commission and he discussed <br /> the construction schedule for the Community Center. <br /> Council Member Glaze and Mayor Karp said staff should look into the <br /> possibility of getting the building trades involved in this project. <br /> 8. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> A. Matter of Establishing an Underground Utility District, Portions of <br /> Bancroft Avenue from Durant Avenue to Dowling Boulevard, as Part of <br /> Victoria Circle Improvements. <br /> This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above <br /> matter, Bill Silva, City Engineer, said the purpose of the Public <br /> Hearing was to discuss the establishment of an Underground Utility <br /> District along Bancroft Avenue from the City limits on Durant Avenue <br /> to Dowling Boulevard. He said this undergrounding was proposed in <br /> conjunction with the improvements being made to Victoria Circle and the <br /> train station. <br /> Yaw Owusu, Associate Engineer, described the general boundaries of the <br /> District, which he said was Bancroft Avenue from Durant Avenue to <br /> Dowling Boulevard. He said the project includes all the public right <br /> of way on Bancroft Avenue and most of the lots adjacent to Bancroft <br /> Avenue. He described several lots that were not included because they <br /> receive their utility service from a side street and not from Bancroft <br /> Avenue.
