Matter of Notice of Intent to Adopt Condemnation Resolution, Teagarden Access <br /> for the Marina Boulevard Widening and Teagarden Realignment Project <br /> (authorizes City to acquire subject properties by eminent domain). <br /> This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above matter, <br /> Rob Caughell , Administrative Assistant, said the purpose of this Hearing and <br /> Resolution were to authorize the City Attorney to begin eminent domain on <br /> property on Teagarden Avenue that is required for the Marina Boulevard <br /> project. He said the company which owns the property in question has gone <br /> out of business and the City has been unable to locate anyone connected with <br /> the property. <br /> The Hearing was then opened to the public. <br /> There be no comments from the public, on motion of Council Member Santos, <br /> seconded by Council Member Jardin and carried unanimously, the Public Hearing <br /> was closed. <br /> The following Resolution was then introduced: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 90-47 (2646) <br /> RESOLUTION OF NECESSITY AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION <br /> OF CERTAIN PROPERTY FOR TEAGARDEN ACCESS <br /> FOR MARINA BOULEVARD WIDENING AND TEAGARDEN REALIGNMENT • <br /> AND FINDING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST <br /> AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE PROPOSED PROJECT, <br /> THAT THE LOCATION THEREOF CAUSES THE LEAST PRIVATE <br /> INJURY, THAT THE SUBJECT PROPERTY IS NECESSARY FOR <br /> THE PROPOSED PROJECT <br /> Introduced by Council Member Suchman who moved its adoption, seconded by Council <br /> Member Glaze and carried by the following called vote: <br /> AYES: Council Members Faria, Glaze, Jardin, Santos, Suchman; <br /> Vice Mayor Perry ( 6 ) <br /> NOES: None ( 0 ) <br /> ABSENT: Mayor Karp ( 1 ) <br /> d.
