Motion Regarding Appointment of Mayor's Committee for the Preservation <br /> of Human Rights and Against Racial and Religious Intolerance. <br /> On motion of Council Member Corbett, seconded by Council Member Santos <br /> and carried unanimously, the City Council approved Mayor Karp's <br /> recommended appointments to the Committee, as follows: <br /> David S. Karp -- City Council <br /> Ellen M. Corbett -- City Council <br /> Robert H. Glaze -- City Council <br /> Carolyn Green -- Human Resources Commission <br /> Bill Lucchesi -- Human Resources Commission <br /> William H. Swann -- Human Resources Commission <br /> Kent W. Myers -- Associated Homeowners of San Leandro, Inc. <br /> Doris Porth -- San Leandro Chamber of Commerce <br /> Dick Lind -- San Leandro Manufacturers' Association <br /> L. Morley -- San Leandro Clerical Association <br /> Marian Wilson -- Board of Education, San Leandro Unified School <br /> District <br /> D. Partridge -- Board of Education, San Lorenzo Unified School <br /> District <br /> I. On motion of Council Member Perry, seconded by Council Member Corbett <br /> and carried unanimously, the City Council supported the findings of the <br /> Anti-Hate Crime Plan prepared by the Alameda County Mayors' Advisory <br /> Caucus on Human Rights and wished to go on record as supporting the <br /> recommendations from that report and directing the Mayor's Committee for <br /> the Preservation of Human Rights and Against Racial and Religious <br /> Intolerance to utilize those recommendations as City Council policy. <br /> J. Motion Regarding Matter of Removal of Boat at 1945 Alvarado Street, <br /> Bernard Lewis, Owner. <br /> On motion of Council Member Polvorosa, seconded by Council Member Glaze <br /> and carried unanimously, the City Council approved an additional six- <br /> month extension for the removal of the boat from December 17, 1990 to <br /> June 17, 1991 . <br /> K. Street Tree Planting Program Proposal . <br /> On motion of Council Member Glaze, seconded by Council Member Corbett <br /> and carried unanimously, the City Council approved the Street .Tree <br /> Planting Program Proposal . <br />
