SAN LEANDRO ADMINISTRATIVE CODE FINANCE <br />TITLE 6, Chapter 4 FISCAL YEAR 2015 PROPOSED FEES <br />Current Fee Reference Proposed Fee Explanation of Proposed Fee Change for 2014-15 <br />§ 6.4.100: FEES. The following fees have been established by the City Council pursuant to various provisions of the San Leandro Municipal Code (SLMC), San Leandro Administrative Code (SLAC) or the general laws of the State of California. <br />Description <br />PUBLIC WORKS SERVICES DEPARTMENT – Waste Water Discharge Fees <br />1 Monthly User Charges <br />A. For Classification A Users (Residential): <br />· Single-Family Unit $31.18 Each $32.27 Each 3.5% increase per 5 year rates approved by Council <br />· Multiple-Family Unit $22.13 Each $22.90 Each 3.5% increase per 5 year rates approved by Council <br />B. For Classification B Users (Commercial & Institutional): <br />Commercial: <br />Auto Services $7.20/100 cubic feet $7.45/100 cubic feet 3.5% increase per 5 year rates approved by Council <br />Bakery, Wholesale $5.92/100 cubic feet $6.13/100 cubic feet 3.5% increase per 5 year rates approved by Council <br />Laundries $4.19/100 cubic feet $4.34/100 cubic feet 3.5% increase per 5 year rates approved by Council <br />Markets/Foods $7.06/100 cubic feet $7.31/100 cubic feet 3.5% increase per 5 year rates approved by Council <br />Mixed Use $6.13/100 cubic feet $6.34/100 cubic feet 3.5% increase per 5 year rates approved by Council <br />Restaurants $6.63/100 cubic feet $6.86/100 cubic feet 3.5% increase per 5 year rates approved by Council <br />All Other $3.43/100 cubic feet $3.55/100 cubic feet 3.5% increase per 5 year rates approved by Council <br />Institutional: <br />Schools $2.82/100 cubic feet $2.92/100 cubic feet 3.5% increase per 5 year rates approved by Council <br />C. For Classification C Users (Industrial & Other Large Users): <br />Loading Charge – based on the total discharge volumes for the billing period. <br />Connection $5.24 each $5.42 each 3.5% increase per 5 year rates approved by Council <br />Volume $2,852.80/million gallons $2,952.65/million gallons 3.5% increase per 5 year rates approved by Council <br />BOD (Biochemical oxygen demand) $382.73/thousand pounds $396.13/thousand pounds 3.5% increase per 5 year rates approved by Council <br />SS (Suspended solids) $638.55/thousand pounds $660.90/thousand pounds 3.5% increase per 5 year rates approved by Council <br />2 Connection Fees <br />Dwelling units: <br />· Single-Family Unit $4,000.00 each <br />· Multiple-Family Unit $3,340.00 each <br />Converting an existing apartment building to condominium units $170.00/Unit <br />Volume $18.51/gallons per day <br />BOD (Biochemical oxygen demand)$756.80/pounds per day <br />SS (Suspended solids)$867.40/pounds per day <br />Non-residential users shall be assessed connection fees based on the estimated average day of their peak month <br />discharge according to the unit cost schedule below: <br /> <br />A connection fee adjustment shall be made at the end of one year of service for all non-residential users to reflect the actual wastewater discharge based on monitored wastewater discharged or metered water usage <br />adjusted for volume not discharged to the sanitary sewer system. If the estimated wastewater discharge is low, an additional connection fee shall be assessed. If the estimated wastewater discharge is high, the City shall <br />issue a refund to the user. <br /> 33
