Fire Employees Disabled After The Effective Date - A Firefighter Employee who <br /> retires on an industrial disability after the effective date may elect the retirement medical and <br /> dental plan options as specified in paragraphs 3, 4, 5 and 6 above. <br /> Subsection K. Exchange of Duty Assignments <br /> The current policy in the San Leandro Fire Department regarding the exchange of duty <br /> assignments will continue for three months after the effective date. The "Fire Chief' as <br /> referenced in section 35 of the City MOU shall mean the Department's Fire Chief. Thereafter, <br /> the Department's Trade Policy as contained in Policy # 23.00 shall apply. Approved trades <br /> scheduled after the effective date will be honored through March 31, 1996. <br /> Subsection L. Transfers and Assignments <br /> The current policy in the San Leandro Fire Department regarding transfers and assignments <br /> as specified in Section 36 of the City MOU will continue for three months after the effective <br /> date. "Fire Chief' as referenced in section 36 of the City MOU shall mean the Department's <br /> Fire Chief. Thereafter, the Department's Transfer and Bid System as contained in Policy <br /> # 23.001 shall apply. Notwithstanding the provisions of this subsection, representatives of <br /> Local 1428 and the Department may meet from time to time to review and amend this policy. <br /> Subsection M. Minimum Staffing <br /> As specified in Section 31.5 of the City MOU, the minimum staffing will be 21 per shift in <br /> the geographic area of the City of San Leandro. <br /> Subsection N. Deferred Compensation <br /> Fire Employee's participating in City's Deferred Compensation plan have the following <br /> options: <br /> a. Elect to keep their San Leandro account open, but not make further deposits into such <br /> account, and enroll in the Alameda County Deferred Compensation Plan, subject to that plans <br /> rules and regulations. <br /> b. Elect to transfer their San Leandro account, subject to the provisions of the San <br /> Leandro and Alameda County Deferred Compensation Plans, to the Alameda County Deferred <br /> Compensation Plan. <br /> c. Elect to withdraw 100 percent of their funds from the San Leandro Deferred <br /> Compensation Plan, subject to applicable tax laws. <br /> 8 <br />
