Procurement Division California Department of Genera;Services Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise Participation Program Attachment 1 DEFINITIONS "Disabled Veteran" A veteran of the United States military, naval or air services who has at least a 10 percent service-connected disability and is a resident of the State of California. Fax: (916)442-7855 DVBE CERTIFICATION IS MANDATORY The DVBE(s) you identify in your response to this solicitation must be certified as such by the Office of Small and Minority Business (OSMB). For assistance in determining a DVBE's certification status, contact the OSMB. DVBE PARTICIPATION PROGRAM COMPLIANCE OPTIONS Before you begin to prepare your response to this solicitation, you will need to determine which option you will select to meet the DVBE Participation Program requirements. Option A Commit to meeting or exceeding the goal of at least 3 percent certified DVBE subcontractor/supplier participation in the performance of work under any contract that may result from this solicitation,and document the commitment. Three Ways to Satisfy Option B Demonstrate through verifiable, documented evidence (using Exhibit A of this DVBE Participation Attachment 1) that your firm has made a "Good Faith Effort" through Requirements performing the outreach necessary to identify, solicit and fairly consider certified DVBEs as potential participants to perform work as subcontractors or suppliers. Option C Submit a "Notice of Approved Business Utilization Plan" that provides evidence of your firm's total anticipated annual use of certified DVBEs as subcon- tractors/suppliers for work under all contracts awarded by your firm, including any work that DVBEs may perform as subcontractors or suppliers under any contract that may be awarded as the result of this solicitation.
