File Number: 15-380 <br />Analysis <br />The bid price for the Pierce Fire Truck is not to exceed $530,000, which includes costs for <br />inspection, delivery, and sales tax. A similar fire truck was last purchased by the City in 2010 <br />for $485,000, which means inflation has caused the new fire truck to increase 9.3% during the <br />past five years. During this same 5 year period, the average increase in the Bay Area <br />Consumer Price Index is 2.3% (11.5% over 5 years). The fire truck’s price is based on a <br />competitive bid obtained by the Houston Galveston Area Council. <br />The new fire truck will replace a 1996 model truck located at Station 12. Station 12 is located <br />at 1065 143rd Street.
