Carollo Engineers
May 5, 2015 Proposal No. 04.7214027
?GRO
levels recharge to within 80 percent of their initial volume, Fugro will collect
samples from the wells using new disposable bailers. We will also collect sludge
pond water samples. The water samples will be retained in laboratory pre -cleaned
containers which will be uniquely labeled and placed on ice, pending delivery to
the laboratory.
• Laboratory testing, data tabulation and evaluation. The testing program for the
well and pond samples will include the following. The samples will be tested on a
normal turn around basis (7 working days) for the following analytical suite:
o Metals by EPA Methods 200.7/8 and 6010 with and without filtering.
o TPH diesel and motor oil range by EPA 8015.
o TPH gasoline range by EPA 8260.
o Volatile Organic Compounds by EPA 8260, low detection limits.
Laboratory data sets will be reviewed and validated, and results will be tabulated
and compared to ambient data. Data will be evaluated with respect to water quality
and project goals.
• Reporting, consultation and agency meeting. A written summary report will be
prepared containing the results of this sampling and testing event. The report will
include a site plan showing well and pond sampling locations, well purge records,
research regarding local water quality data, and analytical test reports. The report
will include conclusions regarding whether there is any indication of an adverse
impact to water quality in the vicinity of the ponds as a result of a release or
seepage from the ponds. The report will also address whether there is any
indication that any such release may have impacted the adjacent tide channel or
estuary. Fugro will consult with the City and Carollo regarding the results of the
Plan of Action tasks, and will attend one meeting with the City, Carollo staff, and
Mr. Pal to discuss the new data.
A breakdown of the cost to implement the Plan of Action is presented below. Drum content
removal is not included in this current breakdown. It is possible that the water can be evaporated
onsite pending review of the results.
Research of ambient water quality data and
water quality goals
$2,100
Well Purging and Sampling
$7,150
Laboratory Testing, Data Compilation &
Evaluation
$5,270
Reporting, Consultation and Meeting with
RWQCB
$5,240
Total
$19,760
C:\Users\jalexander\Desktop\2015 Desktop Folders\San leandro\Contract\Proposal Phase 2.docx 2
