<br />Consulting Services Agreement between City of San Leandro and 3/4/2016 <br />BKF Engineers Exhibit A – Page 17 of 24 <br />- JRT Comments / Response Document in Microsoft Word to be updated and reissued after the review <br />of the GAD, 70% PS&E, 100% PS&E, and Final PS&E. <br />- Critical path method (CPM) schedule in Microsoft Project format on a monthly basis <br />- Invoices as hardcopies and/or PDFs <br />- Color rendered exhibit of the 70% design for the Focus Meeting <br /> <br />Task 2 – Preliminary Studies, Investigations, and Design <br />The Consultant shall gather existing and new information on the subject intersection. Work shall include a <br />new topographic survey based on City control (City benchmark records are on the NGVD 29 vertical datum, <br />horizontal control shall be NAD 1983, State Plane, Zone III) and a photometric analysis of the existing <br />lighting levels. The topographic survey shall provide enough information such that it is suitable for the <br />design of the contemplated improvements. As-built information of underground utilities shall be <br />incorporated into the topographic survey drawing. <br /> <br />The City of San Leandro shall prepare encroachment permit applications to Caltrans and the City of <br />Oakland and provide the necessary fees for processing and plan review by these agencies. The City of <br />San Leandro shall also provide available as-built drawings and aerial photos to the Consultant of the area <br />within City of San Leandro jurisdiction. Consultant shall be responsible for gathering record information <br />from the City of Oakland and Caltrans. The City of San Leandro shall request and provide as-built <br />information of utilities. <br /> <br />Deliverables (due within one month after project kick-off meeting): <br />- Topographic survey in PDF and AutoCAD formats <br />- Base map in PDF and AutoCAD formats <br />- Photometric analysis in PDF (and AutoCAD if applicable) <br /> <br />Task 3 – Geometric Approval Drawing <br />The Consultant shall prepare a Geometric Approval Drawing (GAD) based on information gathered in <br />Tasks 1 and 2. The GAD will be a detailed conceptual design which includes streetscape and landscape <br />concepts. Safety, maintenance, cost, and aesthetics shall be considered when developing the GAD. The <br />following will be used in addition to the information gathered in Tasks 1 and 2: <br /> <br />- National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) Report 672 – Roundabouts an Informal <br />Guide, 2nd Edition <br />- Guide for the Development of Bicycle Facilities, 2012, 4th Edition, AASHTO <br />- A Policy on Geometric Design of Highway and Streets, 2011, 6th Edition, AASHTO <br />- 2015 Caltrans Highway Design Manual <br />- Current City of San Leandro Standard Plans <br />- City of San Leandro Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan <br />- City of Oakland Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan <br /> <br />Consultant shall work with the City and affected agencies to reconcile any conflicting design standards or <br />guidelines prior to initiating the updated geometric design efforts. <br /> <br />Deliverables (due within one month after completion of both Tasks 1 and 2): <br />- GAD Exhibit in PDF and AutoCAD formats
