<br />Consulting Services Agreement between City of San Leandro and 3/4/2016 <br />BKF Engineers Exhibit A – Page 18 of 24 <br /> <br />Task 4 – 70% PS&E <br />Consultant shall prepare the 70% PS&E documents after Design Coordination Meeting #1 based on <br />comments received. Plans shall include: <br />- Title sheet <br />- Typical cross sections <br />- Demolition and Utilities <br />- Layout and Grading <br />- Construction Details <br />- Construction Staging <br />- Traffic Handling/Detours <br />- Signing and Striping <br />- Planting Plan and Details <br />- Irrigation Plan and Details <br />- Construction Details for Planting and Irrigation <br /> <br />Consultant shall conduct a final utility and right-of-way requirement analysis as part of Task 4 to identify the <br />project needs/requirements and necessary steps to move forward with the project design. No right-of-way <br />impacts are currently anticipated. <br /> <br />The technical sections, parts 2 through 6, of the project specifications shall be prepared by the Consultant <br />based on the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction (Greenbook), 2006 edition and 2008 <br />supplement thereto, to be combined with the front-end specifications to be prepared by City staff. <br />Consultant shall also prepare standard special provisions (SSPs) based on the 2010 Caltrans Standard <br />Specifications to address the Caltrans components for the subject project. <br /> <br />Consultant shall prepare a cost estimate for the proposed improvements to reflect the design and details on <br />the 70% plans. Specific bid items and precise quantities will be taken off and directly linked and supported <br />by the individual technical specifications found in the Greenbook and/or the 2010 Caltrans Standard <br />Specifications. <br /> <br />The 70% PS&E shall undergo an in-house QA/QC (quality assurance / quality control) process prior to <br />submittal to the City for review. The QA/QC process shall check the plans for conformance to standard <br />construction practices and limitations and evaluate the constructability, cost-effectiveness and <br />completeness of design features and methods proposed. The Consultant and their subconsultant shall <br />conduct independent reviews of the PS&E. All in-house review comments will be reconciled and <br />incorporated into the 70% PS&E package. <br /> <br />The City will submit the 70% PS&E to Caltrans for review. <br /> <br />Deliverables (due 8 weeks after Design Coordination Meeting #1): <br />- 70% plans in PDF and AutoCAD formats. Plans shall be 34” by 22” in size (ANSI D) on City title block <br />- 70% technical specifications in Microsoft Word <br />- 70% cost estimate in Microsoft Excel <br /> <br />Task 5 – 100% PS&E
