<br /> <br />October – Mitigation and Adaptation Strategies: PTM identified mitigation strategies and <br />adaptation goals. Once strategies and goals were identified PTM were tasked with prioritizing <br />the strategies based on the City’s ability to accomplish. <br />December- January Review Process: PTM members were given the opportunity to review <br />the mitigation strategies and make changes to plan. <br />March – Plan submitted to State Office of Emergency Services. <br /> <br />2.2 Regional Planning Process <br />The City of San Leandro participated in the regional planning process by attending all ABAG <br />workshops, conferences, and meetings. City representatives also took part in regional <br />meetings with agencies such as BART, EBMUD, and PG&E to discuss hazard mitigation <br />planning and efforts on their part. In addition to regional meetings, utilities, public <br />agencies and both the San Leandro and San Lorenzo school districts were invited to 2 <br />Disaster Council meetings, hosted by the City to discuss regional partnerships and Hazard <br />Mitigation. <br /> <br />2.3 The Community Engagement Process <br />The involvement and opinion of the City’s residents was very important to the hazard <br />mitigation planning process, because of this the Planning Committee devised multiple <br />opportunities for the public to learn about the Hazard Mitigation process, the hazards in <br />San Leandro, and provide their input. <br /> <br /> <br />1. Public review of San Leandro’s 2005, and 2010 Hazard Mitigation plan on the City’s <br />website www.sanleandro.org/mitigation. Interested parties could also request a hardcopy <br />of the 2005 and 2010 Hazard Mitigation plan via email or phone call. Hardcopies were at <br />several public outreach venues for people to access if so requested.
