Mountjoy & Assoc., Inc.
27121 Aliso Creek Rd., Suite 140
Aliso Viejo, CA 92656
Subject: Traffic Impact Study for the proposed San Leandro Ford Dealership on
Marina Boulevard
Dear Ms. Ortiz:
Fehr & Peers Associates is pleased to submit this letter report for the proposed Ford
Dealership in the City of San Leandro. The project will generate approximately 79 new trips
in the weekday morning peak hour and 113 new trips in the evening peak hour. The project
is not expected to have any significant impacts on the surrounding roadways.
INTRODUCTION
Fehr & Peers Associates prepared a traffic impact study to analyze potential traffic impacts
associated with the proposed automobile dealership located on the southwest corner of
Marina Boulevard / Teagarden Street. The proposed site plan is presented in Figure 1.
Figure 2 illustrates the location of the proposed project and the surrounding roadways.
Access to the project is provided through two full access driveways on Marina Boulevard,
and one driveway on Teagarden Street. The driveway on Teagarden Street is primarily used
by employees and vehicle deliveries.
As directed by the City, traffic impacts were analyzed for the following four intersections:
1. Marina Boulevard/Teagarden Street (signalized);
2. Marina Boulevard/I-880 Northbound Ramps (unsignalized);
3. Marina Boulevard/I-880 Southbound Ramps (unsignalized); and
4. Marina Boulevard/Merced Street (signalized).
Intersection controls and geometries for the four study intersection are presented in Figure 3.
