Aleck Cheney, P.E., PLS <br />Alaska. Design experience includes major urban roadway projects encompassing right of way <br />acquisition, sanitary sewer, water, and storm drainage improvements. Responsible for the production of <br />complete construction plans, specifications, and bidding documents and managing the public bidding <br />process as well as performing construction phase engineering design and value engineering analysis. As <br />an Associate City Engineer for a California city, performed design and constructability reviews for capital <br />improvement projects prepared by outside consultants to the City and served as both Resident Engineer <br />and Construction Manager for all ongoing capital improvement projects. <br />Construction Contract Documents <br />Thoroughly familiar and experienced in the preparation and use of bidding and contract documents for <br />publicly funded projects. Particularly involved with the widely accepted Engineers Joint Contract <br />Documents Committee documents. <br />Los Angeles Area Construction Phase Services <br />Mr. Cheney was responsible for field engineering and construction layout of a school auditorium, three <br />new schools, an olympic pool facility, the UCLA police station, a major university childcare center, and <br />four Los Angeles County fire stations. <br />West Edwards Bike Path, Edwards, Colorado <br />Mr. Cheney was responsible for topographic surveys, preparation of easements through private lands, <br />development of bidding documents and specifications, and coordination with private utilities with <br />respect to relocations along the trail corridors in the design phase of the project. He was also <br />responsible for construction phase field staking. <br />Mt. Sopris Tree Farm, El Jebel, Colorado <br />Responsible for boundary and topographic surveys for this Eagle County Facilities Management project. <br />Southern Wisconsin Subdivisions <br />As President of Cheney Engineering, Inc., Mr. Cheney was responsible for platting, complete civil design, <br />agency permitting, construction layout and management for several residential and commercial <br />developments within southern Wisconsin municipalities.
