Consulting Services Agreement between City of San Leandro and 10/18/2016 WRECO for Annual Street Overlay/Rehabilitation 2016-17 Project Exhibit A – Page 2 of 5
The streets were selected based on their Pavement Condition Index rating, and by visual inspection of road surface deficiencies. The pavement design will include pavement fabric, where applicable, to increase the strength of the structural section. Additionally, at San Leandro Boulevard, the design will include flattening of the cross-slope of the roadway where the existing pavement thickness allows. Along with pavement construction, the project will address ADA accessibility along the selected street segments and new curb ramps and crossings will be constructed where required. ADA compliant curb ramps and street crossings will be designed at all corners of a four-way intersection, and at two crossings of a “T” intersection. This contract is for consulting services to develop construction level drawings for two bid packages for the Annual Street Overlay/Rehabilitation 2016-17 Project, as described below. Task 1 – Project Management Consultant shall manage his work under this contract in a manner consistent with the standards observed by a competent practitioner of the profession in which Consultant is engaged. Task 1.1 – Project Schedule Upon receiving the Notice to Proceed (NTP) and meeting with the City, Consultant will prepare a detailed project Schedule which will expand upon the Preliminary Schedule included with this proposal. The schedule will identify the critical path items, review times, and milestone submittals. Consultant will review the Project Schedule on a monthly basis and update and issue the revised schedule as necessary. Task 1.2 – Kickoff Meeting Upon receiving the NTP, Consultant will coordinate a Project Kickoff Meeting with the City. The purpose of the meeting will be to confirm which streets would be included in the design, discuss issues that the City would like to bring to the attention of the design team, and to finalize the Project Schedule. Task 1.3 – Project Meetings and Conference Call Meetings Consultant will participate in up to five (5) conference call meetings and up to three (3) Project meetings. The conference call meetings will be held to primarily coordinate design activities among the design team. A summary of the Project progress and outstanding coordination items will be discussed in the beginning of the meeting so that City staff participating in the call does not have to stay on the line for the detailed coordination discussion among the design team members. The meetings will be held after receiving comments from each of the following submittals:
• Preliminary design
• 70%
• 100%. Consultant will discuss any comments that require clarification from the City and obtain agreement on the design team’s proposed methods to address the City’s comments. Consultant will document and distribute the minutes of the meetings. Consultant will also submit monthly invoices and progress reports to the City to document our progress.
