<br />Proposals for Revising Northern California Metroplex – Alameda County/Contra Costa County 37 <br />CONCLUSION <br /> <br />The Forum looks forward to a collaborative commitment with the FAA to developing flight path and <br />procedural alternatives to mitigate NextGen noise impacts on the East Bay. <br /> <br />Based on the outcome of the initial analysis and feasibility determinations for NextGen noise <br />mitigation, it is understood that modifications may be made to the proposed procedures and/or <br />airspace or operating procedures. Such analyses may identify additional procedures and/or issues to <br />be addressed. Progress will require ongoing dialogue; therefore, the Forum respectfully requests <br />some level of input and engagement in conversations regarding modifications, amendments and/or <br />new procedures that are determined to be initially feasible and operationally acceptable to mitigate <br />aircraft noise in the East Bay. The Forum requests that modifications and information requests be <br />communicated expeditiously to keep the process moving forward as quickly as possible. <br /> <br />In the event that the Forum identifies additional community concerns during this process, the Forum <br />will address any such concerns during this planning process in supplemental letters and documents <br />to the FAA. The Forum further respectfully requests: <br /> <br />1. specific direction from the FAA for how the process is anticipated to move forward; and <br /> <br />2. an estimated timeline for the process; and <br /> <br />3. information on the means the FAA will employ to evaluate approved flight tracks and <br />procedures for noise impacts on the communities over which they will fly. <br /> <br />Community outreach and education efforts for feasible proposals are still to be determined. <br />229
