Work includes meeting with property owners, <br />managing and inspecting sidewalk repair, and contracting with an outside firm for <br />sidewalk repair. Property owners only pay for the cost of the construction by the <br />contractor, staff time is paid by the City. <br /> <br />Completed in the last two years: <br />Xx sf of sidewalk? <br />Or number of requests filled? <br /> <br />In Progress: <br />The 2015-16 sidewalk project is currently in construction. <br /> <br />Future projects: <br />Program currently has a backlog of xx sidewalk repair requests. <br /> <br />Comments: <br /> <br />Building Maintenance (Public Works Operating Budget) <br />Funding for maintenance of buildings and building components including elevators, <br />movable partitions, roofing, flooring, mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, etc), <br />paint, parking lots, sidewalks and walkways, landscaping, irrigation systems, and <br />janitorial services. Work includes tasks required to maintain existing systems in <br />operation during their useful life but excludes wholesale replacement of systems when <br />they wear out. Work may include replacement of portions of systems when that cost is <br />less than $100,000 per project, location, or system. Scope excludes repair and <br />replacement of furniture, computer and AV equipment, and commercial kitchen <br />equipment. <br /> <br />Building Component Replacement (CIP) <br />40
