City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: July 16, 2018 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:18-284 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Jeff Kay <br />Acting City Manager <br />BY:Jeff Tudor <br />Chief of Police <br />FINANCE REVIEW:David Baum <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION Authorizing the City Manager to Increase the City’s Radio <br />Inventory from 230 to 256 by Purchasing Motorola Radios and Equipment <br />Utilizing the 2009 Contra Costa County Contract #0904-018 and Upgrades all <br />Related Public Safety Radio Equipment to the East Bay Regional <br />Communications System Authority (EBRCSA) Phase II, TDMA-Compatible <br />Network and Appropriating$642,942 to Fund the Project in Fiscal Year 2018-19 <br />WHEREAS, the San Leandro Police Department participates in the EBRCSA network <br />pursuant to City Council Resolution 2007-109; and <br />WHEREAS, the EBRCSA network agreement requires the City to upgrade all radios <br />within its current emergency radio inventory to comply with EBRCSA’s Phase II, <br />TDMA-compatible network; and <br />WHEREAS the project will cost $642,941 and be completed in Fiscal Year 2018-19; and <br />WHEREAS the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and <br />WHEREAS the City Manager recommends the approval of said procurement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does <br />RESOLVE that appropriations from fund balance shall be as follows: <br />1.$250,000 appropriated from the Information Technology Fund Balance into account 688- <br />13-121-7510; <br />2.$200,000 from Federal Asset Forfeiture Fund Balance into account 146-21-014-7510; <br />3.$150,000 from the Supplemental Law Enforcement “Frontline” Fund Balance into account <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 7/10/2018
