Residential construction pro- <br />jects that create or enlarge a second or third story are subject to Section 2.04.408 RO, <br />RS and RS-40 Districts—Residential Site Plan Review. <br /> <br />DB. Additional Height Restriction in RO District. Any portion of a dwelling located within 20 <br />feet of the rear lot line shall not exceed 15 feet in height. <br /> <br />EC. Additional Height Restrictions in RS-VP Sub-District. <br /> <br />1. Alternate Definition to Measure Maximum Height of Structure in RS-VP Sub-Dis- <br />trict. Notwithstanding the definition of “Height” in Section 1.12.108 Definitions, the <br />height of a structure in the RS-VP sub-district shall not exceed a height of 18 feet, <br />as defined below: <br /> <br />a. Establishing Maximum Building Height. The 18-foot height limit is established <br />by an assumed plane 18 feet above existing grade, as measured perpendic- <br />ularly from the existing grade. Except for chimneys, vents, and non-commer- <br />cial reception antennas, no portion of the structure, including any part of the <br />roof, may exceed this 18 feet height limit.
