provide construction documents for the Pedestrian Crossing Improvements 2020 project at the following <br />intersections: <br />Aurora Drive and Walnut Drive - includes curb bulb -outs, drainage improvements and <br />Rectangular Rapid Flash Beacon (RRFB) <br />Williams Street and Joyce Street- includes RRFB <br />Monterey Boulevard and Anza Way — includes curb bulb -outs on the northwest and southeast <br />corners, curb ramp on southwest corner, RRFB and drainage improvements <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />The scope of services for this CSA shall include the following tasks: <br />Task 1 — Project Management & Meetings <br />1A) Project Kick-off Meeting/Progress Meetings: <br />Consultant will arrange a kick-off meeting with the City and other stakeholders to initiate work on the <br />project. The objectives of the kick-off meeting will be: <br />• Review of the Scope of Work <br />• Establish Lines of Communication <br />• Confirm Deadlines <br />• Confirm Project Schedule and Milestones <br />• Define Design and Operation Criteria <br />In addition, consultant will research and coordinate, as -needed, with other City departments and other <br />agencies, such as PG&E, AT&T, EBMUD, OLSD, School Districts, etc., to identify any potential conflicts, <br />requirements, or design issues early to minimize delays (and costs) later in the design process or during <br />construction. At the kick-off meeting, key deliverables for each Task and the Project Schedule will be <br />reviewed and adjusted accordingly to meet City and stakeholder needs. <br />To keep the City aware of overall project costs and to closely monitor any potential funding issues, <br />consultant will begin developing Preliminary Engineering Cost Estimates as soon as they develop the <br />engineering design recommendations. During the course of the project, consultant will seek to develop the <br />most appropriate and cost-effective pavement rehabilitation alternatives to stay within the planned project <br />budget and schedule. <br />Throughout the project, consultant will attend regularly scheduled progress meetings with the City <br />(estimated at 3), to maintain good communications. The purpose of the progress meetings will be to identify <br />and resolve any design or funding issues that may surface in a timely manner, present design alternatives <br />and recommendations to City, and continue coordination with project stakeholders, as necessary. <br />Deliverables: Kick-off/Progress Meeting Agendas and Minutes <br />1 B) Utility Coordination: <br />Consultant will coordinate with utility agencies early in the design process to help avoid potential <br />construction delays and unnecessary disruptions to public services. Utility coordination will be a critical item <br />Consulting Services Agreement between City of San Leandro and Nichols Consulting Engineers <br />for Annual Street Overlay/Rehabilitation 2019-21, Project No. 2020.0050 Exhibit A — Page 2 of 10 <br />
