Coatings containing lead compounds and PCBs. <br />3. Abrasives and abrasive blast cleaning techniques, and disposal. <br />D. Samples: Include 8-inch square drawdowns or brush-outs of topcoat finish when <br />requested. Identify each sample as to finish, formula, color name and number <br />and sheen name and gloss units. <br />E. Certificates: Submit in accordance with requirements for Product Data. <br />F. Manufacturer's Instructions: Include the following: <br />1. Special requirements for transportation and storage. <br />2. Mixing instructions. <br />3. Shelf life. <br />4. Pot life of material. <br />5. Precautions for applications free of defects. <br />6. Surface preparation. <br />7. Method of application. <br />8. Recommended number of coats. <br />9. Recommended dry film thickness (DFT) of each coat. <br />10. Recommended total dry film thickness (DFT). <br />11. Drying time of each coat, including prime coat. <br />12. Required prime coat. <br />13. Compatible and non-compatible prime coats. <br />14. Recommended thinners, when recommended. <br />15. Limits of ambient conditions during and after application. <br />16. Time allowed between coats (minimum and maximum). <br />17. Required protection from sun, wind, and other conditions. <br />18. Touch-up requirements and limitations. <br />19. Minimum adhesion of each system submitted in accordance with ASTM D <br />4541. <br />G. Manufacturer's Representative’s Field Reports. <br />H. Operations and Maintenance Data <br />1. Reports on visits to project site to view and approve surface preparation of <br />structures to be coated. <br />2. Reports on visits to project site to observe and approve coating application <br />procedures. <br />3. Reports on visits to coating plants to observe and approve surface <br />preparation and coating application on items that are “shop coated.” <br />I. Quality Assurance Submittals: <br />1. Quality Assurance plan. <br />2. Qualifications of coating applicator including List of Similar Projects. <br />J. Submit notarized certificate that: <br />1.
