<br />Non-Professional Services Agreement between July 19, 2021 <br />City of San Leandro and Redwood Painting Company, Inc. Exhibit A Page 18 of 24 <br />b. Abrasive blast non-submerged ferrous metal surfaces at jobsite in <br />accordance with SSPC SP-10, prior to coating. When cleaned surfaces <br />rust or discolor, abrasive blast surfaces in accordance with SSPC SP-6. <br />c. Abrasive blast clean ductile iron surfaces at jobsite in accordance with <br />SSPC SP-7. <br />B. Application: <br />1. Apply coatings in accordance with general application requirements and as <br />follows: <br />a. Apply minimum 2-coat system with minimum total dry film thickness <br />(DFT) of 12 mils. <br />b. Recoat or apply succeeding epoxy coats within time limits recommended <br />by manufacturer. Prepare surfaces for recoating in accordance with <br />manufacturer's instructions. <br />c. Coat metal to be submerged before installation when necessary, to <br />obtain acceptable finish and to prevent damage to other surfaces. <br />d. Coat entire surface of support brackets, stem guides, pipe clips, <br />fasteners, <br />C. and other metal devices bolted to concrete. <br />a. Coat surface of items to be exposed and adjacent 1 inch to be concealed <br />when embedded in concrete or masonry. <br /> <br />3.08 HIGH SOLIDS EPOXY AND POLYURETHANE COATING SYSTEM <br /> <br />A. Preparation: <br />1. Prepare surfaces in accordance with general preparation requirements and <br />as follows: <br />a. Prepare concrete surfaces in accordance with general preparation <br />requirements. <br />b. Touch up shop primed steel and miscellaneous iron. <br />c. Abrasive blast ferrous metal surfaces at jobsite prior to coating. Abrasive <br />blast clean rust and discoloration from surfaces. <br />d. Degrease or solvent clean, whip abrasive blast, power tool, or hand tool <br />clean galvanized metal surfaces. <br />e. Lightly sand (de-gloss) fiberglass and poly vinyl chloride (PVC) pipe to <br />be coated and wipe clean with dry cloths, or solvent clean in accordance <br />with coating manufacturer's instructions. <br />f. Abrasive blast clean ductile iron surfaces. <br /> <br />B. Application: <br />1. Apply coatings in accordance with general application requirements and as <br />follows: <br />a.
