24. All egress door hardware shall be appropriate for its access. <br />25.All penetrations in rated construction shall be by a listing (sprinkler, electrical, <br />and plumbing). <br />26. Buildings addresses shall be identifiable from the street and shall have a <br />contrasting background. <br />27.A Knox Box will be required for each building for fire department access. If an <br />electric gate is installed, an electric Knox Box Key switch will be required to <br />override the system. <br />VIII. BUILDING & SAFETY SERVICES DIVISION REQUIREMENTS <br />1. Plans shall be submitted for plan check review by the Building & Safety Services <br />Division and necessary permits shall be obtained prior to construction. Plans <br />submitted for building permit review shall demonstrate compliance with all <br />applicable codes, including Title 24. <br />2. Construction and Demolition shall comply with CalGreen and CalGreen <br />Residential Mandatory Measures Checklist. <br />3. Plans submitted for building permit issuance shall demonstrate compliance with <br />egress requirements, fire ratings, fire separation, and accessibility requirements. <br />4. Provide adaptable accessible units and accessible path of travel from public right <br />of way and accessible parking to the following: leasing office, individual units, <br />elevator, amenities spaces, laundry room, mail room, and site. Common use <br />areas shall accommodate accessible activities or provide equivalent facilitation. <br />All egress routes shall have accessible compliant hardware. Provide accessible <br />clearances for all accessible spaces. <br />5. Provide occupancy type and occupant load for all residential amenity locations <br />and occupant load for commercial exterior spaces. <br />6. Provide residential and commercial signage per 2019 CBC. <br />7. All floors served by an elevator are considered a ground floor and shall comply <br />with Chapter 11A requirements. <br />8. Provide smoke detectors in all units and Carbon Monoxide detectors if gas <br />appliances are being used. <br />9. Provide location of building mechanical equipment on plans submitted for <br />building permit issuance. <br />10. Provide details of equipment being used in utility rooms and fire separations on <br />plans submitted for building permit issuance. <br />11.
