Proposal for a Police Department Staffing Needs Assessment San Leandro, CA <br /> <br />Matrix Consulting Group 24 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />– Investigative workloads, specialization, and case management practices; <br />– Allocation of sworn and civilian resources to administrative and support <br />functions and potential re-allocation of resources to the various functions. <br />– Assessment of alternative response opportunities. <br /> <br />• Analysis of organization and management systems, which examines the current <br />structure and organization of the San Leandro Police Department and identifies its <br />strengths and opportunities for improvement based on best practices. <br /> <br />• The provision of a dashboard of performance indicators for the Department’s use <br />in monitoring operations and services. We will train departmental personnel in its <br />use. <br /> <br />• A plan of implementation for each study recommendation with schedule, costs <br />and responsible parties. <br /> <br />Following completion of the draft final report, the document will be reviewed with the <br />Department and City, and revisions will be made thereafter. The implementation plan will <br />outline the proposed timing for implementation, the proposed cost (or savings), and <br />identification of lead responsibility. <br /> <br /> TASK RESULT <br /> <br />The analysis will result in the final report on current and projected staffing for the <br />Police Department. After draft reviews we will present the final report to the City. <br /> <br />3. Project Schedule <br /> <br />We propose a 20-week timeline for completing the study.
