<br /> <br />40 <br />Local 21/SLCEA Memorandum of Understanding January 1, 2022 – December 31, 2024 <br />45.5 Fitness for Duty <br /> <br />The City will notify the Union before an employee is to be removed from service for <br />a fitness-for-duty examination. Such notification will be followed by a written notice <br />giving the general reasons for the scheduled examination to the <br />Representative/Organizer of Local 21. <br /> <br />45.6 Application of Pay and Benefits <br /> <br />Only employees of the City, at the time this agreement is ratified by the City Council, <br />are eligible to receive any of the salary or benefits so provided. <br /> <br />45.7 Notary Duties Pay <br /> <br />A one hundred dollar ($100) monthly stipend will be paid to employees performing <br />designated Notary Public services. <br /> <br />45.8. Daylight Savings Time <br /> <br />The following will be applied to any full-time employee working the “graveyard” or <br />“midnight” shift at the time clocks change from/to Pacific Standard Time (PST) and <br />Pacific Daylight Time (PDT). <br /> <br />1. In the spring, when transitioning from PST to PDT, employees working on a <br />shift which includes the one-hour transition from Standard to Daylight Saving <br />time will be paid only for time actually worked. Such employees may be granted <br />the option by the Department Head/ designee to work an additional hour of <br />straight time (to avoid being docked), or use accrued compensatory time, or <br />vacation to make up the lost work hour. <br /> <br />2. In the fall, when transitioning from PDT to PST, employees working during the <br />one-hour transition will be paid for all hours worked, including one hour of <br />overtime at the overtime rate, should they work the extra hour in excess of their <br />regularly scheduled shift as a result of the time change. <br /> <br />Such hours/leave must be reported on signed timesheets in the pay period during <br />which the time change occurred. <br /> <br />45.9 Drug and Alcohol Testing Program <br /> <br />The provisions of the Drug and Alcohol Testing Program are incorporated by <br />reference into this Agreement. <br /> <br />45.10 Performance Evaluation Appeal Process <br />
