Sincerely, Your IT Team
Dear City Council:
As a 22-year voting and tax paying resident of San Leandro I support the San Leandro Police
Department's request that the City Council approve San Leandro Police
Department's “Military Equipment Funding, Acquisition and Use Policy" that is presented for
a vote this evening.
This agenda item is a requirement of AB 481 and I commend San Leandro PD's transparency
in complying with the State's law.
I appreciate the City Council's vote to install 41 cameras in San Leandro, but cameras are not
enough to respond to crime. Our officers require technology as well. Councilmembers need to
be aware of its vital role in supporting our police force. I trust our Chief, our Assistant Chief
and Captains to show positive leadership and provide the necessary training to keep our City
safe--I ask that the elected officials of our city trust them too.
Sincerely,
Luna Salaver
