SAN LEANDRO SHORELINE DEVELOPMENT EIR ADDENDUM PROJECT <br />CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />Page 36 PlaceWorks <br />ensure that implementation of the project would not result in a safety hazard for people residing or <br />working in the vicinity of the project site. Therefore, compliance with the regulations found in the <br />Certified EIR regarding air navigation hazards, would ensure the associated safety hazards for people <br />residing or working in the Modified Project area would be less than significant. <br /> <br />As described in Section 4.7.1.1, Regulatory Framework, of the Certified EIR, compliance with applicable <br />federal, State, and local laws and regulations regarding emergency preparedness would ensure future <br />development under the Modified Project, which does not alter the footprints of proposed buildings at the <br />project site, would not interfere with an adopted emergency response plan or emergency evacuation <br />plan, such as the Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan, and, therefore, impacts would remain less than significant <br />and the Modified Project would not result in a new impact or a substantial increase in magnitude of the <br />existing impacts. <br /> <br />Furthermore, the Modified Project, consistent with the Original Project, is not located within ¼-mile of an <br />existing or proposed school, is not located on an agency-listed hazardous materials site that could result <br />in a significant hazard to the public or the environment, is not on or in the vicinity of a private airstrip, and <br />is not within an area where wildland fires pose a significant risk of loss, injury, or death. Therefore, there <br />are no additional impacts or increase in the severity of impacts related to hazards and hazardous <br />materials. <br />
