City of San Leandro <br />Civic Center, 835 E. 14th Street <br />San Leandro, California _ 94577 <br />January 8, 1997 <br />Jerry Guss <br />C&G Contractors, Inc. <br />23878 Clawiter Road <br />Hayward, CA 94545 <br />SUBJECT: Grading at 2660 Eden Road, San Leandro <br />Dear Mr. Guss: <br />`J •p <br />As a follow-up to my letter to you dated December 30, 1996, you met with Ken Vogeney, <br />Associate Engineer, at your site on Eden Road on January 7, 1997, to review the work. From <br />this visit, it is apparent that you have satisfied the following items from the attached letter which <br />was sent to you on November 1, 1996: <br />1) YvIaintain the following minimum clearances around the material stockpile(s): <br />a) 10 feet along the northerly, easterly, and southerly property lines; and <br />b) 20 feet along the westerly property line. <br />These clearance areas must be maintained clear of all dirt, debris and yveeds. <br />The required clearances have been achieved. <br />2) The maximum height of the stockpile(s) shall not exceed 1 5 feet above the existing grade <br />at the entrance to the site from Eden Road, <br />The maximum height of the stockpile appears to be at or below 15 feet. <br />The following items from the November 1, 1996, still need to be completed: <br />1) Submit a warranty and inspection deposit in the amount of .55, 000. 00 in the form of a <br />check, money order, or cash. This deposit must be received by theCity before any fitrther <br />work is performed on the site or on Eden Road, and is required for the issuance of the <br />Grading Permit you applied for on October 18, 1996. . <br />The deposit has not been submitted and the Grading Permit has not been issued to date. <br />When you met with Andrew Gaber and Ken Vogeney on January 3, 1997, you stated that <br />you are not able to put $5,000 on deposit but you will be able to put a deposit $2,500.: <br />The City is willing to accept the reduced deposit amount, provided that the deposit is <br />received by the City on or before January 17, 1997. <br />Ellen M.
