The Committee meetings
were regularly posted to the public.
Committee attendance varied throughout the process and featured about a 50 percent
attendance rate. The City Council's General Pla►, Ad Hoc Committee directed staff
in May 2002 to contact committee members who never attended any of the meetings
to inform them that if they were not able to attend the June 2002 meetings, that they
would not be considered voting members, but could continue to participate. This
resulted in the effective reduction of the working committee to 20 members.
Staff is planning a community meeting during the summer to solicit community
input prior to submitting the Draft Element to the State for its mandated review.
