CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />STAFF REPORT <br />Date: July 15, 1999 <br />To: John Jermanis, City Manager <br />APPROVED AND <br />FORWARDED <br />TO CITY COUNCIL <br />Jo %anager <br />Jermanis <br />From: Steve Emslie, Development Services Direct74 <br />By: Hanson Hom, Planning Manag ` <br />Subject: PD-98-3, Chapman Place Project — Request from Applicant for Modification to <br />Condition XL <br />Staff has received the attached letter from Reed Or3ate of Trumark Companies (applicant), dated <br />July 14, 1999, that requests that the City Council amend Condition XL of PD-98-3 to clarify the <br />improvements that the applicant has agreed to at the adjacent City Service Center. In discussions <br />with the Public Works Director, the applicant has agreed to fund building modifications to better <br />insulate the residential project from noise associated with the operation of the Service Center. <br />These include relocating a building or adding a building extension and adding roll -up doors to <br />the back of the maintenance building. The subject Condition requires the details to be worked <br />out with the City Engineer and Public Works Director prior to entering into an agreement that <br />will allow the developer to use the City's access road from Fremont Avenue. <br />Staff recommends approval of PD-98-3 with the requested amendment to Condition X.L. as <br />requested by the applicant. <br />Attachment: <br />Letter from Trumark Companies, dated July 14, 1999 <br />GAhanson\citycouncikagenda reports\chapmansuprpt <br />
