Community Assistance Program Breakdown <br />$175,000 General Fund <br />$ 80,000 CDBG Funds <br />The Human Relations Commission will be making a decision on the Community <br />Assistance allocation at their meeting on March 6. <br />Julian Polvorosa - Would like a summary of each agency's funding proposal and the <br />amounts that were allocated to them last year. <br />III. Review Audit Proposals (Jermanis/Arch) <br />John Jermanis - Reviewed staff's recommendations regarding the selection of a new <br />Auditor. ( See Attachment 2.) <br />Mayor Corbett - Asked John Jermanis if there is a penalty for late delivery of service. <br />John said the City has not had penalties in the past, but, the new Auditor will be penalized <br />if the audits are late. John also stated the new contract will be for three years and can be <br />canceled at the end of each year. <br />IV. Economic Development Agency (Oliver/Jermanis) <br />John Jermanis - Reviewed the concept for formulating a new Economic Development <br />Agency to provide assistance to local businesses. (See Attachment 3.) John also <br />reviewed the guidelines that will be used in assisting businesses to apply for these funds. <br />Public Comments <br />None <br />Final Comments <br />Mike Oliver - Stated staff needed to gather more information regarding the liquor tax. <br />Mike said Ken Daniels, the lobbyist from the City of Oakland is about to propose some <br />legislation related to the liquor tax. <br />4 <br />2 <br />
